We created this site because we use Craigslist to look for some oddball items that aren't always available (lately Ted has been looking for a lot of baby-related stuff). We got tired of having to constantly check Craigslist to see if anyone had posted one of the things we were looking for. We thought it would be nice if someone sent you an email when the item you are looking for is posted.

That's exactly what List-Alert.com does. We send you an email when someone posts the thing you're looking for on Craigslist.

How does it work you might ask?

Craigslist provides an RSS feed that gives information for each of their postings. About once an hour, we check this RSS feed to see if the things you're looking for have been posted. When we get a hit, we send you an email to let you know.
