List-Alert Starts

The free List-Alert service went live today and you can now monitor Craigslist for that special item you have been looking for and receive email alerts when the item is posted on Craigslist. When the item is posted the service will send you an email alerting.

To use the service simply:

1. Enter the name of the item or job you are looking for,
2. Select “For Sale” or “Job”,
3. Enter the category of item or job type
4. Select the State and City
5. Press Search

To set up an alert for your search simply enter you email address and when the initial email has been received click on the link to activate you account.

The system automatically checks Craigslist every 8 hours and if a new item has been posted for you search then an email is sent.

At any time you can cancel or modify your Craigslist Email Alerts by logging into you account and going to the My Alerts tab.
