When a search is made on Craigslist it can return a large number of postings that do not apply to your search. This is probably due to the fact that the junk posts have a large number of popular search terms added to the bottom of the post.

Postings of cars often contain text at the bottom in which every car manufacturers name is included.

To avoid being spammed the best solution is to select "Titles Only" whenever you run a search on List-Alert.com or Craigslist.org.
